2 Corinthians 1:3-4 –

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.

When wives first find out about their husband’s crossdressing, it can be beyond shocking. It can also feel like betrayal. The broken trust may be more painful than the crossdressing itself. “How could he hide this from me for so many years? Do I even know this man at all?” Most wives experience great confusion trying to even understand their husbands’ behaviors and their desires to be women. Worse, some wives experience the deep pain of knowing the husband has been sexually unfaithful through pornography, masturbation, or relations with other men while dressed as a woman. All of this illustrates the great importance of support, compassion, and care for women who suddenly find themselves in these situations. Unfortunately, it can be embarrassing to share with others, or sometimes women are afraid their husbands will find out that they have shared with someone they know in their daily lives and get angry. Because of this, an online support group of women supporting other women is a great starting point.

This is a private email-based prayer group for wives who have husbands who are active crossdressers or who have a crossdressing history but have committed to stop crossdressing and learn to be content as men. More specifically this can include husbands who experience autogynephilia, gender dysphoria, sissy hypnosis addiction, or trans porn addiction. This is a private group just for women (wives or partners). If you fill out the form and questions below, we will add you to the group. (We suggest creating an anonymous Gmail account first).

Whenever you want immediate prayer or support when you are having a rough day, you can just send a note to the group and all the women can pray for you. This group is also a way to receive advice, guidance, and encouragement. This is an explicitly Christian group where the main focus is on Jesus. However, you are still very welcome to join even if you are not a Christian.

I suggest that all wives read this article which I wrote for people trying to counsel those struggling with crossdressing. The whole post will be helpful for you, but at the end there is a special section for wives. If you have just learned about your husband’s crossdressing, this is the best place to start – Giving pastoral care to a crossdresser or person with gender dysphoria.

In Christ,
Barnabas
